How to Install the KlearComm Slack Plugin
These instructions are for use by Slack users after an administrator has installed the KlearComm app into the Slack workspace.
Activate KlearComm for individual accounts within workspace
Each person has to activate KlearComm for their individual account within their workspace. This can be done easily by interacting with KlearComm: type / and click Optimize Msg – KlearComm from the shortcuts menu that pops up.
A popup will appear telling you to authorize KlearComm for your personal Slack account. Click Authorize to proceed.

If you get this message while trying to use the plugin, the email you use for Slack has not been authorized to use KlearComm services. Contact your administrator to submit your email to KlearComm so you can get started!

Clicking authorize will lead you to this page. Make sure that the workspace listed is correct. If needed, you can select a different workspace in the top right corner of the page. Once you have the correct workspace, click “Allow” to give KlearComm access to your personal Slack account within the workspace.

Fill out your profile
To use the communication optimizer, you’ll need to fill out your behavior style and communication style questions. These are short! If your profile is incomplete, the questionnaire will automatically pop up when you type / and use the Optimize Msg – KlearComm command. You can also access the profile questions at any time from the app’s home page, located under the list of channels and DMs as the KlearComm app!

How to Optimize a Message
Sending a Message
Type / and click Optimize Msg – KlearComm. This will bring up a popup for you to type your message into and optimize! Note: messages can only be optimized for people signed up with KlearComm. Encourage your team to fill out their KlearComm profiles on Slack so you can optimize communication!

Receiving a Message
Click the green Optimize for Me button under a message, OR

Hover over a message, click the three dots menu in the upper right corner of a message and click Rewrite for me. (This option also works on messages from people who haven’t yet signed up for KlearComm!)
